Chelan County Fire District 7 is reflecting on 2012 as it moves forward with plans for 2013.
The district runs on a current standard fire levy that brings in $1.6 million to cover the costs to operate.
And as we head into the new year- Chelan County Fire Chief, Tim Lemon, shares the districts plans, which include reinforcement of the programs currently in place.
Chief Lemon also gave us a snapshot of what the organization looks like, which covers 125 square miles- operating out of five stations.
An interlocal agreement with the Lake ChelanCommunityHospital to house paramedic units also saves the taxpayers money. The agreement pertains to both Manson District 5 as well as Chelan 7- and, according to Chief Lemon, is benefited through in-kind services.
The Chelan District 7 commissioners meet the second Wednesday of each month, making their next meeting a week from today- on January 9th.
