Chelan CountyPUD is continuing their efforts in offering customer owners a great opportunity to help low income families pay their winter power bills through the Helping Hands Program.

 

The PUD gathers donations from customers and, as Customer Accounting Manager for Chelan CountyPUD, Scot Erickson tells us, those funds then go directly to the Chelan Douglas Community Action Council .

 

The Helping Hands Program began in the late 1980’s and has been going strong since.

 

Scot says that in 2011 alone, donations to Helping hands totaled more than $17 thousand.
