Brewster Future Fee Schedule Levels Out 12/20/2012
Brewster City Council passed a resolution to approve a fee schedule amendment that will increase water and sewer rates 8.69% for 2013, which is the same rate increase as last year for water, however, sewer rates last year were raised a whopping 41.5%-
 
That jump in sewer rates was the result of no sewer rate increase since the sewer upgrade in 2007. 
 
Brewster Mayor, Lee Webster, says the 8.69% annual increase is part of a schedule created to pay back the city’s debt load from their $4.5 million sewer project.
 
The Brewster City Council will hold their next meeting at 6PM on Wednesday, January 9, 2013 in Council Chambers at BrewsterCity Hall.
