The City of Bridgeport is basking in the recent success of their efforts to clean up their community by way of code enforcement to private property owners throughout the city.
The council heard a report from Public Works Director, Stuart Dezellem, who also serves as the City’s Code Compliance Officer on the number of active cases of code violations.
Bridgeport Mayor, Marilynn Lynn, says the city began focusing efforts on code compliance in mid summer when the number of property complaints met an all time high.
The Bridgeport City Council meets tonight at 7pm in their last meeting of the year, and because they have already passed their 2013 budget, and have wrapped up their end of the year business, their meeting will likely be a short one.
