ChelanCounty Commissioners will interview three candidates for District Court Judge, which is being vacated by Alicia Nakata, who was elected to the Superior Court bench.

 

The interviews will take place in open session this morning in three one-hour segments, starting at 9am.

 

ChelanCounty Commissioner, Doug England, says there were originally seven applicants for the position.

 

Travis Brandt, as many of you may know, recently lost the race for Superior Court Judge to Alicia Nakata. Tony DiTommaso is an attorney, working in the private sector, and Roy Fore is a longtime Chelan County Deputy Prosecutor.

 

The District Court Judge position carries an annual salary of nearly $142 thousand.

 

The appointed person will serve until the 2014 election.
