The ChelanCounty Sheriff’s Office is celebrating that they are currently on target to increase their staffing numbers from 54 to 60 by the end of next year.
The potential increase in deputies is due, in part, to a recent re-organization and prioritized balancing of day shift versus night shift.
Sheriff Brian Burnett told KOZI that this was done with help from the ChelanCounty Commissioners.
For the North beat, here in the City of Chelan- the reorganizing of the sheriff’s office will put deputy placement back about a month.
We typically see a slight change in the law enforcement faces here in Chelan the first of the year, but this year, those changes will likely take place about February 1st.
