Chelan CountyCommissioners held a hearing this week to review several requests for supplemental budget appropriation.

 

ChelanCounty Commissioner, Doug England, says individual departments sometimes exceed the money in their budget and must request an increase in funding that must then go through a hearing process.

 

The Civil Service Department has requested $8 thousand- an amount Chelan County Sheriff Brian Burnett says was necessary in order to test potential staff members.

 

Commissioners also held a public hearing on the 2013 budget and will continue the discussion at their next meeting, on Monday, December 17th.
