Many of you are waxing your skis and snow boards in preparation to take advantage of the fresh layer of snow on the ski hills- but WashingtonState patrol wants to warn those who will be traveling to Stevens pass that parking on the side of the highway will result in a ticket that will cost you $124.
District 6 Public Information Officer, trooper Darren Wright, says the issue comes up every year.
Motorists are reminded prior to traveling this winter, to check road conditions by visiting the Washington Department of Transportation website, or by calling 511.
