ChelanCounty Commissioners are putting out a call for candidates seeking appointment to the District Court Bench that was vacated by Judge Alicia Nakata, who was elected to the Superior Court Bench.

 

ChelanCounty Commissioner, Doug England, tells KOZI that they have set up a committee to screen candidates, similar to that for political positions.

 

To be eligible you must be a registered voter in ChelanCounty and you must be an attorney, licensed to practice in the state.

 

Again, the deadline to turn in an application for the open district court judicial role is 5PM tomorrow.
