As you settle into the Christmas holiday spirit, decorating you home and choosing your tree- Chelan Fire District is sending out a reminder to be fire smart.

 

From placing your tree away from any heat sources like radiators, heat vents and candles, making sure the tree is not blocking an exit and choosing the right lights to decorate with.

 

District 7 Fire Chief, Tim Lemon, says it’s worth the time to follow safety tips when preparing for the holidays.

 

In addition to the holiday safety tips, Chief Lemon reminds us that we are heading into colder weather- that also requires some preparation for safety.
