Chelan County PUD will look to adopt their 2013 budget at their meeting next Monday – after a preliminary budget was presented to the board earlier this month.
And as the budget went through its annual development, ChelanCounty PUD Commissioners heard good news that will allow the district to avoid an increase in retail electric rates for 2013.
That is due, in part, to the fact that the New Power Sales Contract that was approved by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission will likely generate $6 million more in revenue for 2013 than previously forecasted.
PUD Commissioner, Randy Smith, says that it directly benefits Chelan PUD customer owners.
Tune into KOZI next Tuesday morning, when we will hear from ChelanCounty PUD officials regarding their December 3rd meeting.
