The EntiatSchool District will host its first of two open forums tonight, giving community members the opportunity to meet the candidates in line to replace Superintendent Michael Wyant, who is retiring at the end of June.

 

The two finalists are James Baldwin, currently Superintendent of Alberton School District in Montana, and Dr. Ismael Vivanco, currently serving as superintendent of PalisadesSchool District, as well as Director for Migrant Education and Academic Achievement at North Central ESD.

 

Tonight’s meeting will feature Mr. James Baldwin- who was superintendent of the year through Western Montana Association of School Superintendents in 2009 and tomorrow the attention will be turned to Dr. Ismael Vivanco.

 

Superintendent, Michael Wyant, says EntiatSchool District will continue with the current arrangements with the ESD, who is charged with hiring his replacement.

 

Both open forums to meet Entiat School Superintendent candidates, tonight and tomorrow, will begin at 6PM in the EntiatSchool library.
