Deputies Receive Life Saving Awards 10/22/2012
On October 3rd Deputies Rich Poppie and Dean Schlaman received the Washington State Life Saving Award at this year’s Marine Law Enforcement Conference held in Spokane.
 
Douglas County Sherrif Harvey Gjesdal describes the circumstances behind the incident that qualified the deputies for the award.
 
There were 93 personal water craft accidents in WashingtonState in 2011. 14 of them ended up being fatal.
