Good News on Byrd and First Creek Fires 9/28/2012
Good news for those being affected by the Byrd and First Creek Fires. KOZI received word this morning that there are no longer any evacuations or road closures in those areas.
Both fires are considered 90% contained.
Mick Mueller, an information officer for the Wenatchee Complex, explains just what is holding up the full containment.
And while some personnel will be moving on to other fires, a whole new group will come in, the Burned Area Recovery team.
The Byrd fire is holding tight at 14,000 acres and the First Creek Fire at 1,360 acres.
