In an effort to engage promising entrepreneurs, stimulate the business plan process and spotlight available retail space in the area, the North Central Washington Economic Development District is helping organize a regional business plan competition.
Winners will be rewarded with prizes that could include access to retail space, office supplies, media coverage and advertising support.
North Central Washington Economic Development District is a federally designated economic development district for the region covering Chelan, Douglas and Okanogan counties and meets the second Wednesday of each month at the Chelan Fire Hall at 8:45 am.
Wendy Isenhart, who serves on Chelan City Council, says the valley is full of people with big dreams.
Retail business plans will be chosen for locations that include Wenatchee Valley Mall, Downtown Wenatchee, MethowValley and Chelan.
