Washington’s National Park Fund has distributed more than $300 thousand in grants to the three largest national parks in WashingtonState, including the North Cascades.
The organization was founded in 1993 by passionate parks people who anticipated lighter budgets for our parks.
National Park Fund Executive Director, Laurie Ward, told KOZI that the fund is set up to fill in the gaps where parks fall short with funding.
The three parks: Mount Rainier, Olympic National Parks and the North Cascades focus on four areas to use the funds.
