ChelanCounty Commissioners approved a change in the county code on Tuesday, after holding a public hearing regarding the authority for the CountyEngineer to close roads before seeking commissioner endorsement.

 

CountyCommissioner Doug England, told KOZI that the issue becomes a matter of public safety.

 

The change in code will also allow the CountyEngineer to change the speed limit on county roads in the event of road work, or natural disasters before informing ChelanCounty Commissioners.
