Kyle Jaynes Found Alive and Stable 8/13/2012
Do you believe in miracles…

30 year old Kyle Jaynes missing since noon Thursday has been found alive.

Jaynes was reported missing late Thursday after failing to return to a cabin near Canoe Creek in upper Lake Chelan after telling others in his party that he was going out to relax and read a book. His book was found the next day on a flat rock about 75 yards up lake from the Canoe Creek dock.

Kyle told emergency responders that he believes he slipped and fell off of that rock striking his head and losing consciousness for as long as 24 hours. After awakening he was unable to walk and went without food or water for 3 ½ days. Late Sunday evening he managed to crawl to a cabin and summon help.

He was transported downlake early this morning and arrived at Lake ChelanCommunityHospital just before 6 AM.  He has a head injury, a possible broken ankle and is complaining of lower back pain.  He is stable and conscious.
