The Chelan Council will take another look during tonight’s meeting at a parking ordinance that was tabled at the July 26 meeting after council members voiced concerns surrounding the proposed regulations.

 

The proposed ordinance establishes a residential permit system that addresses specific neighborhoods near DonMorsePark and was derived from a recommendation from a task force that was established years ago.

 

City Administrator, Jim Reinbold says he believes the ordinance is a balance that offers a workable solution, but council members had questions surrounding who would be eligible for a permit.

 

Currently ChelanCounty contracts with an Entiat based towing service, and city officials hope to keep the vehicles closer to home after being towed.

 

Tonight’s Chelan City Council meeting will begin at 6PM in the Council Chambers at City Hall on Johnson Ave, and as always you are invited and encouraged to attend.
