Community members, groups, and clubs are all invited and encouraged to attend a free educational event about suicide awareness called “Coming together for life” hosted the Lake ChelanCommunityHospital.
The event will be held at the ChelanHigh School this Saturday from 10AM to 1PM.
This is an opportunity to hear about the suicide prevention and to better understand what to look for and how to respond to someone who may be considering suicide.
Dr. John Arnold, Lake ChelanCommunityHospital’s psychologist, tells KOZI that although suicide is a hard topic to discuss, talking about it might be just what they need.
The “coming together for life” event will be held this Saturday at 10AM, at the ChelanHigh School.
If you have concerns about someone who may have suicidal thoughts, you are encouraged to call the National Suicide Prevention Hotline at 1-800-273-TALK.
