After deeming their 1989 MACK Fire Engine as surplus and accepting a bid for its purchase, the city of Pateros will continue to reap the benefits of the fire truck, as it was bought by Douglas Okanogan County District 15.

 

DOC 15 purchased the MACK engine to replace a 1973 Pierce International Engine.

 

Pateros Mayor, Gail Howe, told KOZI that because Pateros is within the DOC 15 district, it seemed like a perfect fit.

 

The truck has already made a few runs with DOC 15 at some of the recent brush fires in the area.
