Just 6 months after approving an ordinance that allows for the residents of Winthrop to keep chickens and one rooster on their property, the council is considering a change in their noise ordinance to address those same animals.
The council meets tonight and will consider the change after several complaints have been filed to the town regarding animal noise, which, according to town clerk, Michelle Gaines, wasn’t the typical dog barking complaint.
The Council will be discussing the ordinance, with possible action, at tonight’s meeting that starts at 7PM in the Winthrop Barn.
