Pateros City Council has agreed to start the daunting task of seeking state funding to help revamp their boat launch.

 

The launch is located about 400 yards upriver from Memorial Park and offers little more than a place to put your boat in the Columbia River. But that could all change.

 

Pateros Mayor, Gail Howe, says the launch is in dire need of updating and improvement, adding that the area sees a lot of use, but lacks several necessities.

 

The council will put together their first round of applications over the next month, but will likely not see the funding, if they are approved for it, until late into fall.
