Last week, the Washington State DOT closed the right turn lane on State Route 150 at the intersection of Wapato Lake Road near Mill Bay Casino in Manson- and they say that those who travel that route will need to get used to it, because it isn’t likely to change any time soon.

 

David Kinneger- the assistant Traffic Engineer for the North Central Region of the Washington State DOT says that lane closure is the result of the number of accidents at that intersection.

 

Kinneger adds that DOT engineers look at the number of vehicles that travel specific routes and will modify any necessary high risk areas, such as the SR 150 and Wapato Lake Road intersection.
