The Brewster Police Department just got one step closer to a full force with the recent hire of Rory Williams.
Williams was officially sworn in during the Brewster City Council meeting earlier this month and is replacing Nattalie Cariker who resigned in February.
According to Brewster Mayor, Lee Webster, Williams is experienced when it comes to law enforcement.
Webster adds that the council moved to delay the hiring of the second position, that was was left open with the retirement of Tim Reib.
The Brewster City Council will meet next on Wednesday, July 11 at 6PM at the BrewsterCity hall.
