With a recent “event boom” in Bridgeport, the City Council is seeing the need to take a deeper look at policy surrounding the use of city parks, including who and what can set up booths to sell goods.
Bridgeport Mayor, Marilynn Lynn says there are some ordinances in the city code that addresses the use of the parks, but it is proving to be insufficient with the recent increase of events.
Lynn adds that she expects the council to impose new codes in the next few months.
