ChelanCity Council members will likely have the opportunity to approve the selection and appointment of a new city clerk at tonight’s council meeting. Long time City Clerk, Linda Liles retires from the position that she has held for nearly 21 years- effective tomorrow.

 

There were over 50 applicants for the position, which a search committee narrowed to down to 6 finalists. We learned at last night’s retirement party for Linda that the Mayor has chosen Peri Galucci to serve as the new city clerk. Peri has been working for the city as the receptionist/clerical assistant.

 

City Administrator, Jim Reinbold, said following the official appointment at tonight’s meeting, the council will be working on a rather full agenda including a public hearing on deferral agreements.

 

Tonight’s City Council meeting will begin at 6PM in council Chambers in City Hall on Johnson Ave- right in the middle of the Johnson Jungle.
