Tonight will be Clayton Hill’s first night on the job as the new council member for the Town of Twisp after being sworn in last week- filling the seat previously held by Hans Smith who resigned last month.
Hill, who works as a deputy prosecutor for the OkanoganCounty prosecuting attorney’s office, has lived in Twisp for 2 years and sent a letter to the council expressing his interest in serving in the vacant seat.
Jackie Moriarty, Twisp Town Clerk, told KOZI that the council interviewed Hill earlier this month before officially appointing him last week.
Among the agenda items for tonight’s meeting is discussion and possible action on a contract for fire protection with Fire District 6- a topic that has been a source of disconnect between the two entities for the past several months.
