The rock stabilization project on Highway 97A near Rocky Reach Dam that was set to end last week- is not said to be wrapped up by the end of this week.
Barricades have been removed and the roadway has been substantially re-striped, however part of the roadway requires significant patching due to some damage and the temporary roadway that was built to accommodate the slope work.
Jeff Adamson, Washington State Department of Transportation Spokesman, says crews will continue working on the road as well as the steel mesh netting through the week.
That roadwork on 97A is expected to be finished by the end of this week, just in time for the 4th of July holiday travel weekend.
