Winthrop Town Council will be one councilmember short after Lance Christensen announced his resignation at their regular meeting earlier this month.

 

Christensen will stay on board until a replacement can be found, but has set August as his last available month.

 

Winthrop Mayor, Dave Acheson told KOZI that Christensen has served on the council since 2008 and spent two and a half years on the Winthrop planning commission before that, adding that he was a valuable addition to the board.

 

Mayor Acheson says anyone interested in serving on the council must be a registered voter within the town limits and is encouraged to submit a letter of intent to the WinthropTown Hall.
