The official search for a replacement for City of Chelan Administrator Jim Reinbold will soon get underway. Reinbold, appointed to the position in October of 2008, recently announced his intent to retire from public service this fall.
Chelan Mayor, Bob Goedde is considering a his options for a replacement which could include promoting someone from within the organization or hiring and outside professional firm to help recruit candidates for City Administrator.
An Issaquah based consulting firm, Prothman Company, specializing in national and regional recruitment services, has been used on several occasions in the past by the City of Chelan.
Mayor Goedde told KOZI news that Prothman submitted a bid to the city for $18 thousand.
The City Administrator works directly for the Mayor in a Strong Mayor form of government like Chelan. The Mayor has the authority to appoint whoever he or she wishes and the City Council confirms the appointment.
