AmeriCorps volunteers into their district each year, and this year, those volunteers surprised the district by painting the town…literally.
Each year, AmeriCorps offers 75 thousand opportunities for adults of all ages and backgrounds to serve critical needs in communities all across America.
Volunteers have the opportunity to tutor and mentor disadvantaged youth, teach computer and reading skills and manage after-school programs.
Brewster Superintendent, Eric Dreissen, told KOZI he was pleased to give a report during the last board meeting that centered on the planned work day.
The BrewsterSchool District also changed their regular June meeting- originally scheduled for Monday, June 25- and will be held instead on Monday, June 18th.
