The Chelan City Council approved a change order that consisted of seven modifications proposals for the Don Morse park Shoreline Restoration and Beach Enhancement Project- costing the city nearly $22 thousand.
Those modifications include filling wall openings, importing sand to fill voids in the drift sills, scour protection, haul, purchase and place crushed rock due to unstable soils, demolish and remove stair treads, relocating a path and laying sod instead of hydro seeding.
City Administrator, Jim Reinbold, told KOZI listeners that when you consider how big the project is, the amount spent on change orders really isn’t that high.
City officials expect that there will be 13 modifications proposals processed by the end of the Phase 1 Mobilization.
