MansonSchool District is working towards establishing a middle school in their secondary building- including a move that would bring next year’s sixth grade class into that building.

 

Currently, Kindergarten through 6th grade students attend school in the elementary building, located across the street from the secondary school.

 

In that building, the seventh and eighth grades have a designated hallway- creating some separation from the high school students.

 

Superintendent Matt Charlton, tells KOZI that the change starts with getting classified as a middle school by the state.

 

Next year’s sixth grade class- the first to be recognized as middle school students in MansonSchool District, will graduate high school in 2019.
