Bridgeport Daze is just days away- 2 to be exact.

 

The city celebration is set for Saturday, with a few events continuing into Sunday.

 

Bridgeport Mayor, Marylin Lynn says that the festival opens the same way every year on the first Saturday of June.

 

This year, Rick Halterman was chosen as the Grand Marshall and Sherilynn Jacobson was voted as Citizen of the year.

 

Both will be honored during the Bridgeport Daze parade that starts Saturday morning at 10.
