Bill Stewart has named Bliss Littler as the new coach of the North American Hockey League Hockey Wenatchee Wild.
Stewart, President and Managing Partner of the Wild, made it clear he wanted a new direction for the team after last season out and believes he found the answer in the hiring of Bliss.
Littler, who has tallied 577 wins in his 19 years as a junior hockey coach, replaces John Becanic who resigned as coach early last month following a decent season on the ice but disappointing attendance.
Fans voiced almost universal displeasure with the style of play promoted by Coach Becanic which was considered overly defensive, conservative and just plain boring.
