The ChelanCounty Sheriff’s Office recently released its 2011 annual report, which includes information on annual call volume, a comparison of arrest totals by type dating back to 2007, as well as budget and funding issues- among other items.
And, although the Chelan County Sheriffs office saw a decline in its staffing numbers over the past few years, that is not the case for their workload.
Sergeant Huddleston joined Sheriff Brian Burnett at last week’s Chelan City Council meeting to discuss the results of the report from within the city limits, and according to Sergeant Huddleston, the numbers look similar to past years.
Those numbers, including the marine patrol, pertain solely to within the city limits of Chelan.
County-wide, the Sheriff’s Office responded to more than 14,000 calls in 2011.
