Washington State Patrol officials are confirming that an 8-year old girl was hit by a car on SR 150 near the Manson trailer park at about 8 AM this morning.

 

KOZI is in contact with the girl’s family, who tells us that she has been airlifted to Harbor View Medical Center in Seattle with a fractured pelvis. She is in stable condition and is alert and in good spirits.

 

The family tells us that the girl had crossed the highway, and was preparing to run back across when she darted in front of an oncoming vehicle- who braked and was able to slow down significantly before striking the girl.

 

According to the WSP, no charges will be filed against the driver.
