ChelanCounty PUD Officials have announced the retirement of longtime PUD leader, Wayne Wright – and the appointment of External Affairs Director, Jeff Smith to join the PUD’s Senior Management Team as Managing Director of District Services after Wright’s retirement.

 

Wright, a former KOZI personality, has been with the PUD for more than 33 years and will retire at the end of July.

 

Chelan PUD General Manager, John Janney, told KOZI listeners that choosing a replacement for Wright was no easy task.

 

Smith, who will be filling a majority of Wright’s duties, has been with the PUD for more than 24 years -, something Janney says will prove to be very beneficial for the district.

 

Wayne Wright is set to retire from the PUD this summer, with his last day on the job July 31st.
