The Manson Parks and Recreation District will hold their regular board meeting this afternoon at 4 PM – with a very light agenda.

 

The District won its long sought maintenance and operation replacement levy last month, but that funding does not start coming in until next year.

 

That leaves them with four less seasonal employees, cuts to mowing, watering and planting; and throws any projects the board was considering out the window. At least for now.

 

Parks Director, Wai Petersen, tells us that the district continues to simply sustain through the year, with little more than the general repairs to keep the parks going.

 

Today’s meeting will be at 4 PM at the Parks Office on Pedoi in Manson.
