There have been 15 suicides in Chelan and DouglasCounty in the past 4 months- with nearly half of those occurring in the ChelanValley – and the Suicide Prevention Coalition of North Central Washington is vying to do something about it. And they need your help.

 

They will be hosting a meeting in Chelan at 6 PM this evening – hoping to start a chain of caring individuals who are educated in warning signs, taking steps in preventing suicides in our area.

 

Co-founder of the coalition, Dr. Julie Rickard, tells us that tonight’s meeting is a suicide prevention meeting for the Chelan Community.

 

Tonight’s meeting will begin at 6PM in the Lake ChelanCommunityHospital – and you are invited to attend.
