The Pateros School Board is likely to seal a deal during their board meeting this evening, allowing school visitors to continue to park in a lot owned by the city during concerts and games.
Pateros City Council put together an indemnity contract during their April council meeting, which guarantees the school will take sole responsibility of any loss pertaining to their use of the lot, holding the city harmless. That contract has been sent to the school board for approval.
Pateros Mayor, Gail Howe, told KOZI that the property is currently being used for parking by the school, but the council had some concerns about the city’s responsibility because the lot does not meet all the requirements.
