A recipient family has been chosen, building plans have been approved and footings have been poured, all leading up to KOZI-Habitat for Humanity Homebuilding Day set for Friday, May 18 in Manson.
Habitat Project Director, Leroy Hall, admits that he gets excited with each step of building habitat houses, but nothing compares to what has become an annual event with KOZI.
Habitat for Humanity International was founded in 1976, and has built more than 500,000 houses, providing shelter for 2.5 million people world wide.
Leroy says the Chelan Valley Chapter of Habitat for Humanity has completed 14 homes to date with house number fifteen well on its way of helping local families achieve the American dream of home ownership.
So, be sure to mark your calendars to take part in this extraordinary project. The first 50 to lend a helping hand will receive a commemorative 3rd Annual Kozi/Habitat T-shirts And in case we forgot to mention it.. we feed you really good!
Stay tuned to Kozi for details of the big event taking place at 58 Totem Pole Road in Manson on Friday May 18th.
