Okanogan County District Court Judge Henry “Hank” Rawson has announced his candidacy for the Okanogan County Superior Court Judge (Position 1) currently held by the Honorable Judge Jack Burchardwho plans to retire at the end of this year.

 

Judge Rawson was elected in the Fall of 2010 to the Okanogan County District Court. As Presiding Judge he is responsible for the supervision of the District Court. He has also served as the City of Omak’s Municipal Judge since appointment in 2002.

 

Judge Rawson earned his Bachelor degree in Public Accounting and later his Juris Doctorate from Gonzaga University.  He has been engaged in private law practice for over 35 years. 

 

Notably Rawson has been a member of the Okanogan-Omak RotaryClub  for 32+years, is a Paul Harris Fellow, and has served as Club President twice.  He is a member of the National Association of Sports Officials and during basketball season, he is “the voice” of the Okanogan Bulldogs—introducing lineups. 

 

Judge Rawson has been married to his wife, Cathy, for 37 years, together they are the parents of four children.
