Bridgeport City Planning Commission will soon have more time on their hands after the Council voted to use a hearing examiner to hear some of the time consuming permit requests.
City Mayor, Marilyn Lynn tells KOZI news that the council has been mulling over the idea for the past several months, and accepted the recommendation made by the Planning Commission at the April 11 meeting.
In addition, the council voted on the appropriate appeal process to any decision made by the hearing examiner after narrowing it down to three options.
The Bridgeport City Council’s next meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, April 25th at 7 PM in the Council Chambers.
