Chelan Fire District 7 board of commissioners will hear a presentation and recommendation from a Citizen Advisory Committee regarding the potential building of two fire stations along the south shore during their Wednesday, April 18th board meeting.
Fire Chief, Tim Lemon says the recommendation will likely involve construction beginning as early as this year, and will revolve around the outcome of recent meetings with architects as well as the development of a possible funding model.
The district owns a 5-acre parcel near the Lake Chelan Yacht Club, about nine miles up the South Lakeshore Road. It also has a tentative agreement to acquire property near Pat and Mike’s.
The district currently has three satellite stations in addition to its main fire hall in Chelan, one in the UnionValley area, one in ChelanFalls and another near the ChelanAirport.
The board of commissioners will meet Wednesday at 7PM at the Chelan Fire Station meeting room on East Wapato."CLICK HERE" for Audio
