Do you know a hopeful biologist entering college in the fall? Next Monday, April 16th is the deadline to turn in applications for the Nancy Duree Natural Resource Scholarship through The Wenatchee River Salmon Festival.
The annual $1,500 scholarship will be awarded to a North Central Washington 2012 graduating high school senior pursuing a college education in a natural resources field, such as biology, forestry, botany, fisheries, geology, ecology or environmental education.
Students in Chelan, Douglas, Grant, Kittitas, Okanogan or YakimaCounties are eligible for the scholarship. Salmon Festival Marketing Director, Susan Peterson, says the scholarship funds come from proceeds made from the annual festival.
Applications will be accepted until Monday, April 16th and can be found by visiting kozi.com and clicking on the salmon scholarship link on the news story.
