Wastewater Pipeline Moving To Woodin 4/5/2012
Crews working on the pipeline replacement project for the City of Chelan are making good progress as they work their way north from the ChelanSeniorCenter on Robinson Street. . Yesterday they made the turn east on Wapato Avenue and will soon turn north again on Clifford Street.

The plan is to eventually connect to the pipe they installed earlier on the Chelan Falls Highway past the city shops.

Public Works Director, Dan Baker warns that motorists will be faced with some traffic revisions next week as crews trench to allow pipeline installation heading east on Woodin Avenue.

The $4.9 million project is the second phase of Chelan’s Waste Water Treatment Facility upgrade to accommodate for population growth out to the city’s 20-year planning horizon.

Baker expects this phase of pipeline to be finished in about two weeks.
