Bridgeport Moves Ahead With Abatements 3/23/2012
The Bridgeport City Council has voted to pursue a legal remedy to property owners to clean up or remove two unsightly abandoned buildings within the city limits.
 
Bridgeport Mayor, Marilynn Lynn, says the council unanimously approved the abatement of the two dwellings and handed the information over to the city attorney.
 
City Attorney, Chuck Zimmerman says he will now help prepare the appropriate notices to send to the property owners to start the process.
 
Zimmerman expects the process to take several months.
