Hospital Foundation Offering Scholarships 3/23/2012
The Lake Chelan Community Hospital Foundation is accepting applications for scholarships for individuals pursuing a career in the medical field.
 
The Foundation is made up of 18 citizens and a separate organization from the hospital itself, but works closely with it.
 
Foundation board member, Mike Steele, says the Foundation serves the main purpose of raising funds so the hospital can function efficiently and has the equipment necessary to operate well.
 
Emmitt Aston, who also serves on the board of directors for the Lake Chelan Community Hospital Foundation, says playing a role in the education of a community member is proving to be very rewarding.
